The recently renovated Historic Bascom School has been beautifully transformed into a unique meeting venue that is ready to host your next event. The site provides all the amenities of a modern community gathering space while retaining its historic charm. Guests will admire the unique metal shingled roof, original 12-foot high tongue and groove wood ceilings with century-appropriate lighting, refreshed wainscoting throughout, restored heart pine flooring and ceiling to floor windows. Oh, and one must not forget that the main hall provides the novel stage that once served as the platform for many school presentations and class graduations. New computerized lighting , sound system and up-to-date IT equipment have been added to the stage area for your exclusive presentation or entertainment. The kitchen has been fully renovated with modern cabinetry and appliances to add an additional element that is sure to boost your gathering experience. The outside grounds have been eloquently landscaped, there’s plenty of parking, two ADA entry ramps, and an adjacent park with restrooms and a playground to keep the kiddos busy.

The structure was built in 1927 and underwent an extensive restoration that began with the vision of a group of former students and townspeople in 2009. Renovation of the old school house is now complete, but this amazing group of folks have their sites set on more improvements that will make it even better and efforts to create the Historic Bascom School House Museum continue today.

To save it from demolition, the group set a goal to preserve the building for future generations to enjoy and to create an accommodating space for local gatherings, family reunions, weddings, concerts, culture presentations, business meetings, and more ~ goal achieved!
